![]() ![]() In high sec if you are in one of the busy mission systems and use MTUs a lot you will loose them regularly. I then switch to my noctis and go back out and pick up the MTUs and salvage the wrecks. I run 3 anoms in my BS and drop 3 MTUs, one in each anom. Running anoms in null sec I use the same few MTUs over and over and over. The MTUs are reusables ? it means : i can deploy in space, run cicles of MTU, end to salvage área, return mtu at cargo, warp next área, and do again with the same MTU ? MTU's are reuseable but they are also able to be shot at without concord interference. I just wanted to add that I stopped using MTUs in high sec due to the extremely high increase in the frequencey of mission intruders that came with it. Sabriz's post was accurate and informative. MTUs make you very easy to scan down and as such setting up and MTU in a busy mission hub will almost guarantee that you get visitors. ![]() That's actually a really awesome idea that I'm surprised I'd never thought of Thanks Once you get better at this, you will be able to multitask and have three wrecks being salvaged at the same time as tractoring another 3-4 wrecks into range. ![]() Target wreck > activate tractor beam > once wreck is close, activate salvager.Generally shooting us will be a trap, but it is not impossible to get the better of us if you seriously prepare. If we do you are allowed to shoot at us, but if you do shoot us we will have the right to retalliate. Pirate players like myself might attempt to shoot your MTU at times. When you finish killing everything you intend to kill in the mission (which may not be everything), look inside your MTU and take all loot that appeals to you (don't bother with cheap crap, just filter to only show modules over 250000 ISK), scoop the MTU, then recall your salvage drones. While you are killing enemies, release a flight of 5 Salvage Drone I (very cheap drones) and in the drone window, select all of your salvage drones and command them to start salvaging. If you are new and running missions in a ship that doesn't rely upon combat drones but can use drones, you might consider placing down a Mobile Tractor Unit when you enter a mission. In your destroyer, warp to the bookmark you made.Fit a destroyer's high slots with Salvager I's and Small Tractor Beam I's.Once complete, bookmark the site (Control + B in space). Run a mission site (such as a level 2 or 3 security mission). If this is the case, simply move on to the next wreck. Some wrecks will not yield anything, and a message will pop up saying "This wreck didnt yield anything of value" (or something along those lines). To do this, equip the highslots of your ship with a Salvager I > Target a wreck and fly within range > activate the Salvager I mod the same way you would shoot a ship > wait until your mod cycles a few times and if successful, the salvaged material will automatically appear in your ship's cargohold. These salvaged items (such as armor plates) are used in manufacturing for ship Rigs. Why the large sleeper wreck won't work with drone even at full skill (-20% base + 3% from the drone + 10% for the skill lvl 5 = -7%)ĮDIT: Sleeper aren't really a case apart for access difficulty, there is only 2 kind of wreck, base one and advanced one.Salvaging uses modules such as the 'Salvager I' or "Salvager II" to extract salvageable materials from ship wrecks. (10% base + 3% from the drone + 2 % from your skill lvl 1) If you only have salvage drone operation lvl 1 and try to salvage a standard large NPC wreck, it's going to be 15% per drone cycle. Salvage drone have a 3% base bonus + 2% per level of salvage drone operation. A Sleeper Large Advanced Wreck has an Access Difficulty Base of -20.A Medium Advanced Wreck has an Access Difficulty Base of -10.A Small Advanced Wreck has an Access Difficulty base of 0.A Mission Generic Large Wreck has an Access Difficulty Base of 10.A Mission Generic Medium Wreck has an Access Difficulty Base of 20.A Mission Generic Small Wreck has an Access Difficulty Base of 30.Access difficulty = % of chance that the salvage complete for one cycle of your module/drone. ![]()
